Two days after coming to you, and informing you that NFL legendary quarterback Tom Brady did not receive his punishment for Deflategate; His punishment was announced. The NFL has suspended Brady for the first four NFL regular season games of the 2015 season. The NFL also fined The New England Patriots for $1 million and took away two draft picks from New England as punishment. However, the punishment did not stop there; the NFL also suspended two equipment staffers who were believed to be the individuals deflating the footballs for Brady, including one who went by the name "The Deflator".

Patriots Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft stated "Despite our conviction that there was no tampering with footballs, it was our intention to accept any discipline levied by the league. Today's punishment, however, far exceeded any reasonable expectation. It was based completely on circumstantial rather than hard or conclusive evidence." It is said that Brady has lawyered up to have his suspension overturned, and the New England Patriots have been very supportive of Brady through this whole situation.

I am sorry (not sorry) but, the punishment that was giving to Brady and The Patriots, fit the crime. There are many cases in sports, where athletes get away with a crime because of the players rank and the status of the team. In the past two years we have witnessed numerous cases in sports; domestic violence, racism, DUI, theft, drugs, etc. Recently In most of these cases appropriate actions were taken. However, this is just recently speaking what about all the others times that players were let off with a warning or it was swiped under the rug. Being that Tom Brady is (or should I say "was" because of Deflategate) the NFL's "Golden Boy" this should resonate with players in all sports that you will be punished for your actions.
